Regional Manager (Kabul)

Short summary of the job: Regional Manager must have Bachelor’s degree and have 3 - 5 years of work experience preferably in a relevant role managing donor funded activities and workforce development or vocational training programs. Proven experience engaging with private sector businesses and with jobseekers (skilled and unskilled) is preferred. Extensive travel will be required for this position. Fluency, both written and spoken, in either Dari or Pashto as applicable to the location of work, and in English, is required.

Responsibilities

  •   Ensure close coordinated with Client.

  •   Ensure identification of Training beneficiaries in a timely manner,

  •   Ensure all the activities are completed on time.

  •   Responsible for resolving problems and challenges in trainee identification, screening, and enrollment.

  •   Ensuring that all training plans are communicated to the Client.

  •   Ensure ongoing training follows approval of the client.

  •   Provide input into client’s planned activities and reporting

  •   Regular and random monitoring of the implementation of activities.

  •   Provide regional job awareness campaigns and working with training providers, NGOs, and value chain employers to organize localized events, industry visits, and vocational career talks.

  •   Responsible for outreach and identification of industry specific jobseekers and screen jobseekers.

  •   Help Project Manager.

  •                Extensive travel will be required for this position.

Requirements 

  •             Bachelors in Business Administration

  •              3 - 5 years of work experience in general business operations

  •                        Work experience with small businesses in Afghanistan
