Base of Operations: Kabul, Afghanistan

Required Clearance: VSS-A or other INL-approved vetting


  • Oversee and supervise the work of all cross-cutting administrative assistants
  • Promote professional development and continuing training for cross-cutting administrative assistants as well as those within sections
  • Prepare training material and deliver trainings to build capacity of local administrative assistants
  • Update various information lists (e.g. the JSSP contact list)
  • Produce and update different templates for certificates, tags, business cards, etc.
  • Update recruitment database
  • Update JSSP general calendar for meetings, interviews, etc.
  • Coordinate and schedule written tests for JSSP employee candidates
  • Schedule and participate in interviews as relevant
  • Ensure compliance by all local administrative assistants with policies, rules and reporting requirements as established by DOS/INL, COT and DCOT-A
  • Ensure compliance by all local administrative assistants with applicable polices and rules for the procurement of equipment and other items, and the proper inventory of all such items
  • Keep COT, DCOT-A and the Afghan Professional Manager fully informed concerning the performance of, as well as any developments and issues with, all administrative assistants
  • Prepare timely information for JSSP reports, deliverables and success stories for activities and accomplishments on a bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, or as otherwise assigned
  • Rapidly respond to requests for information from JSSP Management, INL, and Tetra Tech
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience and a Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong written skills including proven experience composing reports, forms, memos from staff, during meetings, and from transcribing machines
  • Experience with MS Office, including developing and using Excel spreadsheets to input and track data preferred
  • Effective at maintaining and following established filing systems and protocols
  • Experience coordinating travel and meeting logistics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently to complete tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment
