Short summary of the job: AfghaNet is looking for a competent AHS Technician
Intern who is responsible for the installation and support/maintenance of
internet service connections of household clients. Their primary focus will be
site installation, network implementation and integration with back- end
services. They will be working alongside engineers and other team members
working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to
collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of
quality products is essential.
To ensure success as an AHS Technician Intern, you should handle a variety of jobs relating to telecommunications equipment. AHS Technician Intern should be able to work flexible hours and resolve issues promptly by logging into switches and by following instructions from the networks operation center (NOC) or a senior engineer.
Responsibilities
Visit the clients for maintenance on weekly basis.
Visit TV-Hill for maintenance issues.
Site installation (Able to find the open channel-frequencies according to the locations).
Fibre splicing.
Install Microwave devises with different frequencies
Create local-IPs on CCR
Subnet live-IPs
Implement Public IP
Setup Point to Point and Point to Multipoint devices (able to install different PtP devices)
Provide full support to the clients
Analyze and isolate network issues
Determine network system and requirements to provide the best recommendations
On-call/email support to clients
Once a week night shift
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative and original ideas to technology, algorithms, and product
Comply with personal legal liabilities and fiduciary requirements of diligence and care in carrying out the duties of AfghaNet.
Act honestly in all the affairs of AfghaNet and avoid conflict of interest.
Travel to Provinces
Available 24/7 if needed
Climb on 30 Meters Tower
Requirements
Skills:
Enough knowledge of Mikrotik CCR configurations
Enough knowledge of Microwave devices
Professional knowledge of Cacti / MRTG graph implementation
Enough knowledge with SNMP
Enough knowledge of Point to point devices, Ubiquiti, InfiNet etc
Enough Knowledge of VSAT
Enough knowledge of power system
Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure.
Enough knowledge of CISCO hierarchical campus design.
Enough knowledge of EIGRP, Route Redistribution.
Enough knowledge of VLAN, Trucking Protocol and technologies at Enterprise Switching environment.
Enough knowledge of Cisco devices including Cisco ASA, Next Generation Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless AP,
Enough knowledge of routing protocols.
Enough Knowledge of Cisco Switching technologies.
Maintain complex switching environments
Enough knowledge of frequencies
Familiarity with continuous integration
Results oriented, team player, able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle numerous incidents and clients.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of professional experience in ISP network platform.
High School Graduate or associate/bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (Network) or ICT is preferable
